One of Pakistan’s most well-known Naat Reciters, Amjad Sabri attained excellent popularity early. He changed people’s lives by presenting the beautiful Sana Khawani. Introduction:
Amjad Sabri is indeed a native of the Pakistani city of Karachi, in the province of Sindh. In Pakistan, his family is well-known for their Sufi tradition. They have the largest audiences of any qawals or singers in the Indian subcontinent. Amjad Sabri is taught by his late father Fareed Sabri how to sing and perform qawali. Amjad Sabri first appeared publicly at a young age, when he was a member of the Sabri Brothers, a family band in which his father and uncle also appeared. To put it simply, he had to do this as part of his education.
Family History
Amjad Farid Sabri father, Ghulam Fareed Sabri, and uncle, Maqbool Ahmed Sabri, are also famous qawwals from the 1960s and 1970s. The Sabri brothers were a well-known group. Mother of Abdul Rauf Rufi was a religious person. His mother also loves reciting naat, and she used to arrange Milaad celebrations in her home for the neighborhood’s female residents. She kept a diary in which she recorded all the naats she deemed appropriate. He has married in 1986 and has two children one son and one daughter.
CAREER
He used Allama Iqbal’s poem as the soundtrack to a Bollywood movie. ‘Balaghal Ola Be Kamalehi‘ was his debut album, and it was dedicated to the legacy of his late father and uncle. “sare la makan sy talab hui” was the most popular album by them. In a later incarnation, Amjad Sabri also sang this song, although in a very different style. Before passing into eternity, Amjad Sabri completed the Tajdare Haram. Previous to this, he co-hosted the Ramzan morning show alongside Waseem Badami and others.
Sabri’s previous music venture was with the record label Coke Studio. In Season 9, Episode 7, he and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan gave a stellar performance of the qawwali “Aaj Rang Hai.” Sabri’s debut and final appearance on the stage turned out to be on the same day.
AWARDS
After his passing in 2018, he was honored with the Sitara-e-Imtiaz, the country’s highest civil honor and the “pride of performance” award. After his passing, the business world lost a vital contributor. Diamond best described him. His kalam remains popular even today. Even after he’s gone, a part of him will remain in all of our hearts.
Death
Amjad sabri death reason He was shot by a motorcyclist in the Liaquat Abad neighborhood of Karachi on June 22, 2016, on his way home from taping an episode of his show. He was rushed to the hospital, but he passed away there. Allah grants him shalom and entry into heaven.
